Absolutely gorgeous 1920s Peignoir House Coat, Boudoir Robe, or Hostess Gown

The neckline has a slightly stiffened collar, the sleeves are elaborately designed with panelled styling and deep cuff and oriental style silk fastenings.
The shoulders are square with hand sewn pin tuck detailing which is pristine.
The bodice is absolutely divine with the front and also the back being darted to give a beautiful drape to the silk.
The fabric is stunningly beautiful with an iridescence within the weave, although there are signs of it’s 100years age, there are some minute pin head holes-please see photos.
Previously part of a private collection belonging to a film starlet from the 1930s.
The cut and style is very very generous, there is copious amounts of this stunning fabric, it's absolutely wonderful and is in gorgeous condition
