Vintage 1950s powder blue nylon Georgette cocktail dress.
Made by Romney for Kenneth Cross of Newcastle.
The bodice of the dress is extensively ruffled with beautiful informal pleating and Dainty capped Sleeves. The zip is a little delicate, and care should be used.
The skirt of the dress is a circle and half, under the this there is one net petticoat and one internal rayon silk lining. The bodice of the dress is also lined. It has been freshly dry cleaned and is now ready to wear. Please see the Photos of two marks to the skirt.
As this garment is unsized I have given the measurements seem to seem for you to compare against a similar garment of your own.

Previously part of a private fashion collection, it initially belonged to a leading soul singer from the 1950s and 60s. The dress is in the most gorgeous wearable condition.
This is a beautiful garment, perfect to team with a little bolero or capelet, or perhaps a stole or wrap. Perfect for the cocktail hour, and those special festivals or retro music nights.
