The Rochester Grandad collarless shirt made in about 1932
Pure Linen shirt made in Belfast by O’Donalds.
The shirt was left for laundering (but never collected) at a North Yorkshire wash house which was retired two years ago.
It’s well worn, with some pin holes and some buttons may be required but overall it’s in a good vintage condition.
The shirt is collarless, the front is fashioned with a Marcella front, as are the turn back cuffs.
The shirt has a fold under lower front plackets and the back is considerably longer than the front, making this a wonderful unisex garment, either to wear as intended or for a lady to team with jeans, slacks, shorts a fabulous alternative to the usual 'boyfriend' shirt or Tunic Shirt.
Length to the front; 32”
Length to the back; 36"
Shoulder to shoulder; 16"
Sleeve length; 30” with 4” fold back double cuffs - which are worn but not threadbare
The shirt is beautifully clean, crisp and white.
The fabric has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally.
