Stunning Antique 1800s Brides Bonnet or Cap made from silk net which has been overlaid with french champagne lace, which is not machine made. The whole garment has been hand stitched and I can confirm that this is very firm. These feminine dainty and very beautiful bonnets would have also been worn in the boudoir too, to keep the pin curls in place
Size:
Approx 12” from centre crown to tip of side lappet.
24” wide taken on the lace band around the bonnet
28” wide taken above the lace band.
The crown is gathered to accommodate the lady’s hair.
The item is part of a Private heirloom collection, it’s been very well stored throughout and has received a professional clean to brighten and freshen.
The fabric has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. The date is approximate as I was informed at the time I obtained the item.
