Antique 1880s Home Loomed heavy Linen Sheet made in France
Substantially weighty at over 2k
This sheet is made using a hand woven fabric giving it a wonderful texture. The top and bottom hems are finished by hand with the tiniest of stitches, the raw outer edges are loomed finished.
The sheet is adorned along the turn back with a 9cm deep panel of hand made bobbin lace of oak leafs. The ladder run has been hand drawn Jours.
This is an absolutely stunningly beautiful fabric, which dates from about 1882 and is in excellent condition without signs of use.
This beautiful lady’s colour is a warm pale creamy oatmeal, and the husks can be very plainly seen.
