An Exquisite Rare and Beautiful Creation from an exclusive Private Fashion Collection.
Vintage 1930s Bias Cut Floor Length Fishtail Tulle Gown of Exquisite Design with a bias cut rayon satin under gown of the same colour.
Hand Made gossamer fine Tulle, which has been stiffened, with an all over application of a raised silk embroidery.
The gown has been completely hand stitched and finished right through to the seams. The hem has been hand rolled and stitched in silk threads. To each side of the bodice are four original press studs on a hidden closure, keeping the style free of seams and zips etc.
To the front centre of the bodice there is a 14cm wide ruffle panel. This centre front panel is in one piece and ruching to the top has been added with 3 pink velvet ribbons, which draws the bodice tighter, should this be required.
This theme is carried through to the back, the detailing is exquisite.
The skirt of the gown has been cut very generously on the bias, and has a Fishtail, which dips deliciously at the back. The sleeves are styled to lay raised at the shoulders, and have been finished with a small cuff and pink velvet bow. The inside seam is 3” finishing just above the elbow.
These overdresses look exquisite when worn on their own, but this is a very rare example as the original bias cut under gown is still with the gown itself, and closes with four original press studs either side of the waist, keeping the lines smooth and uncluttered.
The gown is exceptionally beautiful and would suit a number of themed gatherings, and perfect for the vintage bride as a wedding dress.
The following measurements have been taken when the garment was laid flat, relaxed and unstretched - Seam to seam and is being given for comparison against a similar item of ones own.
