Genuine Vintage pre 1960s Tirol Jacket.
The front is beautifully fitted, whilst the back has an inverted pleats with silver button banding.
The jacket is made from Trachten Brown checked Wool the utmost Tyrolean Chic
I am informed that it was made by Zettinig of Igls Austria, although there are no tags.
The cut is of a traditional design with silver buttons and contrasting chain and button fastenings
The pockets at the chest and hip are lined in a fine red worsted wool.
The lining is rayon silk and has been hand stitched into the garment.
The collar is rabbit fur felt and this theme is carried through to the pockets, lapels and cuffs, with velvet oak leaf appliqué overstitched in silk thread.
It was taken into a private fashion collection in the 1980s where it was stored in a controlled environment.
The garment has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. All measurements have been taken when the jacket was laid flat and is the actual seam to seam measurements. Kindly consider this when comparing against ones own size.

The jacket is a fabulous and rare find, it's been professionally dry cleaned and is now ready to wear. A most desirable addition to any 1950s or retro outfit and perfect for any beer festival retro weddings or themed weekends.
