Gorgeous 1950s Blue Linen Jive Dress by Berkertex of London.
Openwork embroidery to the bodice, with pleats at the shoulders to take pads (supplied) darting to the waist and permanent box pleats to the front with a double inverted kick pleat to the back. The dress is buttered through and all the original buttons are present and undamaged.
It’s an absolute delight.
The garment was part of a fashion collection and has remained in its gently worn original 1950s condition since it was placed in storage in 1960
The fabric is in the most stunning condition, and the dress has been cut to compliment beautifully, a curvy figure. It is so absolutely gorgeous.
A scoop tipped collar adds a stylish touch to the neckline, and turn back 1/3 sleeves tops it off, giving a clean uncluttered look.
The dress looks absolutely wonderful on its own, but stunningly beautiful when the wearer adds vintage accessories such as gloves and pumps. Please note that the belt is the models own.
