Genuine Vintage John Collier Ladies Jacket. Hand tailored
Made of English barathea (wool and silk) retailed in Harrods - purchased June 1957.
The front is beautifully fitted, with dainty darting. The collar and finishing has been fabulously hand sewn.
The jacket is part of a consignment of vintage clothing from an English country estate
The fabric is in excellent condition without damage or odour
The cut is of a traditional design with buttons and darting to the shoulders, which are square and slightly padded
The lining is silk and has been hand stitched into the garment.
It was taken into a private fashion collection in 1980s where it was stored in a controlled environment.
The garment has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. All measurements have been taken when the jacket was laid flat and is the actual seam to seam measurements. Kindly consider this when comparing against ones own size.
