Stunning Victorian 1850s Evening Black Silk Skirt in sheer chiffon with inverted side pleat giving the impression of a fold over, and with a very deep panel of black Silk Lace, to the hem which was made in Caen in France, all of this is overlaid onto a medium weight silk shorter calf length inner skirt.
The waist is Elasticated, and this is still very firm. The skirt fastens with the original hooks into the silk rope eyelets.
This skirt would make a stunning addition to any lace or antique fashion collection, it has been professionally cleaned and is ready to wear.
The measurements given have been taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat and relaxed. Please compare the sizes given for an exact fit.
