Stunning 1940s Ball Gown Evening Cocktail Dress created from Black Taffeta Silk, with an appliqué of cream silk Vine leaves.
The gown is hand made and has remained unworn and stored after being purchased in 1948
It is eloquently styled with the hem slightly longer at the back.
The bodice has reinforced seams in the bodice to give extra support should the lady prefer not to wear undergarments.
As the garment is vintage I have given measurements taken when the dress was laid flat. These are given as a guide.

The bodice of the dress fits into the waist then flows over the hips to give a stunning full circle skirt made up of 8 panels.
The neck is a scoop style, and is slightly lower at the back
The shoulders are styled to be either worn off or on the shoulders.
This is the most gorgeous dress, perfect for any vintage themed ball.
