The garment was part of a fashion collection and has remained in its original 1950s unworn condition. The fabric is in the most stunning condition, and the dress has been cut to compliment beautifully, a curvy 14 figure.
The fabric is a medium weight silk brocade. Fabulous chasing dragons on a black background with red satin piping and traditional Chinese fastenings
It is so absolutely gorgeous and it’s in original 1950s condition.
The dress fastens down the right side and there is also a hidden zip for ease of dressing The zip was replaced in the 80s as I was concerned about it rotting the silk
To the right side is a red swirling panel, tracing the outline of the female form. It’s one stunningly sensual dress.
There is a 12” open pleat to the right side and darting to the bodice
It’s simply stunning and perfect for any vintage themed venue, wonderful for retro weddings, parties and Goodwood.
