Wonderful, rare, unique and totally genuine Unworn Vintage 1950s Susan Small Cocktail Dress created from the most sumptuous black silk georgette, with Chantilly lace trim, balloon sleeves with a deep 3’’ lace cuff and black satin belt with bow detail.
The underskirt is modelled on a Wiggle Style, whilst the overskirt is full and luxurious. It was purchased in the late 50s and placed into a Private Collection belonging to a fashion designer, within days.
Its exquisitely table cut, designed, and finished with the utmost style to compliment the wearer. I have never come across a gown by this designer fashioned so elegantly, as most of it appears to be hand finished its probable that the gown was bespoke and tailored within the workshop, or probably a one off design before production
The garment has the original designers label with a swing size tag of 14 therefore I am listing this as a uk 10.
The measurements given were taken seam to seam, then doubled when the garment was laid flat and relaxed. Please compare the dress against a similar garment for the correct fit.
