Vintage 1950s Hand printed Pure Silk Cocktail Dress with gathered detailing to the bodice. This theme is carried through to the waist of the dress which is styled with four rows of bronze sequins to give a little weight to the skirt.
Exquisitely cut, the dress has a defined waist which falls nicely in informal pleats over the hips, to give a Luxurious Fluidity to the fabric as the lady moves. The skirt of the dress is simply glorious, with a huge amount of fabric to give an exquisite swing, as the lady moves together with a silk lining and full Petticoat giving structure to the skirt of the dress.
The seams are mostly hand sewn and finished.
This is such a fabulous dress, perfect for any garden party, vintage themed gathering, retro wedding. It’s simply exquisite, and divinely made.
As the gown is without labels etc, I have taken measurements, seam to seam when the garment was laid flat. These have been provided as a guidance for you to compare against your own sizing.
