Vintage 1940s Chinese Dressing Gown Robe with stylised Quilting to collar, cuffs and pockets. Slight shoulder pads to give a gentle unstructured form.
Classic Chinese Oyster satin outer and lined in silk.
These gorgeous garments look stunning when worn as a bohemian evening coat, lounging coat or just as equally good when worn as intended in the boudoir.
Once belonging to a British actor of the 40s and 50s it was taken into the ownership of a Private fashion collection in 1949, it has been stored in a temperature controlled store since this date.
All measurements were taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat.
