1940s Cocktail Dress Black Velvet Designer Hand Made Jet Beading 40s Bombshell
Stunning 1940s Couture hand made Black Velvet Cocktail Dress, with French silk lace Insert to the yoke, which is adorned with fabulous black bugle beading, pussy-bow neck, square shoulders and silk ruffle belt with Diamanté buckle to the front.
The dress has had a new zip fitted, which is hidden and on the left hand side. This is an exceptionally beautiful dress, which was added to a fashion designers collection in 1948 where it has remained.
The gown is in a lovely vintage condition, and highly wearable. Unfortunately it's without a label, the only details were in the entry book, as to date and where purchased. It's noted that it was a sample, so it's quite probable it's an individual design and unique.
