Beautiful 1890s vintage silk knitted wrap, in a stunning Chevron design.
The hems are finished in a macramé with tasselled edging, which are all hand made.
This one was passed down the female line, I took care of it in 1979.
It’s possibly been worn maybe four or five times for funerals.
This is a very huge item and is completely handmade about 1890. These large shawls were made to be worn with bustle dresses, to give a beautiful drape.

The shawl Square itself is 70 x 70 inches
I’m downsizing and selling all my collections, so it’s got to go.
The shawl has been freshly dry cleaned and is ready to wear
