This is a very old and perfectly Beautiful Antique Regency Piano Shawl or Bustle wrap
Super soft cream ultra fine lambswool with silk hand embroidery in the paisley design.
The item has been in my family’s collection and has been carefully stored in a linen chest since the late 1890s The corners are square, and the two outer edges are machine finished.

According to my grandmothers inventory the shawl predates the 1880s and was originally purchased in about 1870s and originates from Kashmir in India
These stunning shawls look so beautiful, draped around the shoulders. The fabric has no moth damage, no age marks nor thinning. The silk embroidery is stunning and pristine
