French couture designer Fabulous and quite unique Vintage 1950s cocktail dress, made from silk Jersey and lined a rayon silk.
To the bodice, there are four seamed supports one either side of the centre zip to the back and 2 to the front to support the bust.
Overall, the lining to the bodice is very snug and would support the wearer very well should they not wish to wear a foundation garments.
The whole of the bodice is ruched and this is an exceptionally fine condition. The shoulder area and the sleeves are also ruched and can be worn on or off the shoulders.
This detailing is exceptionally fine and is also in pristine condition.
The outer skirt of the dress is a full circle skirt, which is quite generous, whilst the petticoat is quite full.
This is a recent purchase by myself and is one of three of similar dressers that came from the same collection. I purchased this gown as vintage Dior, and all signs do point that this may be Dior, though on receipt of the dresses, I found the tags were missing.
Reminiscent of, Lollobrigida, Bardot, Mansfield and Marilyn Monroe
I’m selling this for a fraction of its costs as it really does need to be worn and shown off.
