Stunningly sensational 1930s Art Deco Cocktail Dress created from Sheer Scarlet Chantilly lace.
Underneath is a wiggle dress in rayon silk.
The skirt of the dress is panelled and exquisitely shaped to compliment the female form. The neckline has a deep sailor collar, edged in scarlet lace.
The chevron hem of the dress has panels of Chantilly lace to give a distinct ‘flip’ to the skirt of the dress as the wearer moves.
The shoulders are gently padded and the sleeves are quite closely fitted.
The dress closes with dainty faux pearl buttons to the back.
The gown is mostly hand made, the seams are taped and hand stitched too. The garment has remained in a fashion collection since the early 1950s although it has been worn.
Please remember that the lace is over 100 years old, it is quite firm but will not support being stretched in anyway.
As the garment is unsized I have given measurements taken when the dress was laid flat.

The bodice of the dress fits into the waist then flows over the hips to give a stunning bias skirt made up of lace panels to the front of the skirt and one at the back, which slips over the hips to give definition to the wearers form
The neck is cut on a scoop, with a lace flounced sailor collar over the bust and the sleeves are full.
This is the most gorgeous gown, perfect for an evening dinner.
The condition is original 1930s genuine and quite unique being kept in a store along with other fashion items.
