Rare Antique 1800s Silk net Lappet or Mantilla, Intricately Hand Made Point de Gaze Lace with raised decoration, it is truly stunning and without any hole, moth damage, but has some age marks.
Otherwise it’s condition is pristine.
The silk net has been woven with panels of flowers to it's edges and panels of finely worked and exquisitely raised lace to the ends, and with dainty decoration throughout.
This is a beautiful, feminine Lappet, and has hardly any weight to it.
It's never been used, being a dowry item.
I was given it some time ago, it being a family heirloom.
This stunningly beautiful and precious lady originates from Northern France and was made by relatives from Southern Spain.

The overall length is; 67''
Such a wonderful fabric should be seen and shown off.
