1805 Gossamer Champagne Silk Wrap or Vintage Stole hand embroidered with fine Gold silk thread.

This is a genuine Georgian fabric and originates from my own families heirloom collection.
To the centre of the wrap is a Beautifully stylised crane encircled with birds and ornate oriental panels
The top has a 0.5'' plainly woven border.

The fabric is in exquisite condition, although there are slight signs of this beautiful old lady’s age.
To the middle of the top hem is a 2cm area of thinning, this has been repaired-please see photos.
The item is over 200 years old and has been in my family since it was originally made from Indian silk It was purchased in 1805 when relatives lived in northern Spain.
Possibly mandarin in origin
Styled to sit over the wide and elaborate sleeves of the Georgian gown and to rest lightly on the crinoline.
