Fabulous and unique plate and pot rack or shelf unit, which was in my cottage, which was built in the 1700s, when I moved in
The shelf unit completely dismantles down - the original flat pack.
I was told that it was made in the 1870s and used by traveler’s as the unit completely takes apart. All the joints are wood, there are no pins, screws or nails.
The wood itself may be oak, it’s hard to tell with the colour and years of bees wax.
It’s very tactile, feels warm and smooth to the touch, and being rustic and hand made, there are no straight edges.
The brackets at the back are brass and were replaced three years ago.
Width: 50” approx
Depth of shelf; 6”approx
Height; 49” approx
The unit will come flat packed or you may make arrangements to collect.
