The item in this listing is from a private collection belonging to a country house.
The silk is in beautiful condition, despite it being 100 years old.
The creation consists of a pure black silk bias cut full slip over which has been placed a ultra fine black silk net. The overdress is Caen lace made in France and dates from approximately 1918.
The skirt has 8 panels all are edged in a black velvet with chevron detailing to the hips.
