Fabulous 1950s Tea Dress with hand sewn finishes in the most wacky print - Toadstools & Mushrooms. Stunningly bright and unique
The fabric is a medium weight cotton mix. The bodice is fitted into the waist, then the skirt billows out gorgeously
The fabulous panelled skirt is extremely full, a little more than the normal 50s circle, with unstructured pleats which fall from the centre waist band and the same to the back, making the skirt huge.
The neckline is collared, which are pointed almost dagger shaped. The belt is the models own.
Previously part of a private fashion collection, it initially belonged to a leading soul singer from the 1950s and 60s.
The dress is in the most gorgeous vintage condition, perfect to team with a little bolero or capelet, or perhaps a stole or wrap.
Great for the cocktail hour, and those special festivals or retro music nights. The measurements given are actual, from seam to seam and are given as a guide.
