Stunning 1950s Couture hand made Silk Georgette Cocktail Dress with exquisite detailing to the bodice. The skirt of the dress has been designed to 'swing' when the wearer walks, and has a flat front, with delicate folds at the waist and also to the stylised bodice.
The checkers label is still attached to the inner lining.
The gown is lined in a blue rayon silk, an ultra long metal zip is to the back, which is hidden underneath the delicate folds of the bodice. The gown benefits of a slightly stiffened underskirt.
This is an exceptionally beautiful dress, purchased in August 1956 and then the gown was added to a fashion designers collection where it has remained. The gown is in exceptional and pristine condition.
