Genuine Vintage John Collier Ladies Jacket. Hand made and tailored
Made of English pure worsted wool and retailed in Harrods - purchased September 1957.
Milium lined for all weather wear. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
The front is beautifully fitted, with dainty darting. The collar and finishing has been fabulously hand sewn
The jacket was hand made made by John Collier and is part of a consignment of unworn vintage clothing from an English country estate
The fabric is 100% worsted wool
The cut is of a traditional design with buttons and darting to the shoulders, which are square and padded. Please note that there is one button missing from the cuff.
The lining is silk and has been hand stitched into the garment.
It was taken into a private fashion collection in 1980s where it was stored in a controlled environment.
The garment has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. All measurements have been taken when the jacket was laid flat and is the actual seam to seam measurements. Kindly consider this when comparing against ones own size.
