Vintage Authentic Belly Dancing Hip belt Hand made and adorned with shells and heavy with coins and hung with hand spun wool tassels.
This is a traditional costume and has been made using wool and flax and decorated with shells
As the waist/hips are adjustable it’s suitable from a size 36” hip right up to approximately 50” hip
It’s got to be one of the most sensual garments I’ve seen in a while, the workmanship is exquisite.

Sometime in the past, in the Middle East where belly dancing originated, young and marriageable women would dance for coins that were thrown to them. They would then sew these coins onto their hips scarves, saving them for dowry.
