Fabulous 1950s Ellis of London Cocktail Dress created from aqua blue Chantilly lace over pink rayon.
The bodice is fitted with reinforced seams. The gown is cut to fall over the hips and has chevron darting from which the huge circle skirt falls away in luxurious folds.
The neckline is scalloped with a piped edge.
At the waist is a fixed 6” wide Chantilly lace belt, which allows the wearer to fashion it either as a cummerbund or to let it fall-loosely tied.
This is a beautiful garment, perfect to team with a little bolero or Capelet, or perhaps a stole or wrap, wonderful for the cocktail hour, and those special parties, weddings and race meetings or retro music nights.
The dress is in original unworn condition nevertheless it’s been freshly dry cleaned ready to wear.
