Victorian 1880s Hand Sewn Split or open crotch Bloomers made from Yorkshire Linen
There is a fabulous pin tucked deep border to the bottom edged with hand made Bobbin lace. The hem of the lace is scalloped and ornately embroidered.
To the front are dainty pleats, and a tie waist to the rear.
These bloomers are completely split, from front to back, and are exquisitely made, with all seams etc being hand sewn. The linen was woven in North Yorkshire.
This is a beautiful example of traditional needlecraft.
All measurements were taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat and have been provided as a guidance for you to compare against an item of ones own.

There are a few flaws in the fabric, a result of the hand weaving but no age marks. The fabric is without shattering and has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. It has received a full laundering, they are slightly starched and are ready to wear.
