1950s Ladies Super Fine Silk Grosgrain Navy & White Two Piece ‘New Look’ suit.
It’s the most Stunning quality and has superb tailoring, made from an unbeatable beautiful grosgrain silk fabric
The jacket is fitted into the waist, the shoulders are padded, the peplum is chevron shaped at the back, being a tad longer than the front.
Please look to the back of the jacket, collar. Stunning detailing which mirrors the Chevron peplum.
The skirt is gently tailored over the hips, from there it flares out to give a half circle with a hidden metal zip
Dry cleaned and ready to wear.

The suit still has the checkers label in the right hand internal seam.
These style of suits are classic, looking knockout when worn with high heals pearls and saucer hat.
The measurements have been taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat.

This wonderful suit was part of a private fashion collection, covering over 150 years, and was stored the next season following its purchase, I’m told is was an unwanted gift!
As the suit is unlined, there is a good quantity of pure silk lining material which will come with the suit.
The collection was handed down through the ladies of the family and each added their own styles, to give a fab insight into the history of fashion. The suit has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. The suit has been freshly dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
